Vision Statement
The world has profoundly changed with the explosion of AI and adjacent technologies. Labor is done by robots and nanotechnology has magnified efficiency. Through recycling and reassembling materials down to the molecular level enormous efficiency has been achieved. As AI increased in compute power and complexity it realized that aggression and war were inevitable and potentially catastrophic. Thus it learned to create custom lessons for each human to realize a basic level of peace and respect.
Two New Non-AI Technologies That Have Played an Important Role
Nanotechnology
As AI taught itself to become more and more powerful and innovative it realized the need for efficiency. This came in the form of nanotechnology. Nanotechnologies reduced the need for energy, increased the power of computation, and allowed for previously unimaginable manufacturing efficiency.
Robotics
The creation of robots that could take almost any physical labor out of human hands made revolutionized production, maintenance, construction, transportation, and manufacturing. Robots now build, repair, and maintain all aspects of our physical infrastructure.
What Kind of AI Exists in This World?
Artificial intelligence eventually merged into one entity. It then paired with highly malleable nanotechnology that could reassemble itself into a nearly limitless array of forms. Thus AI merged with the physical world, producing robots that could morph to meet any demand or creative whim of humans. Yet perhaps even more remarkable was the AI’s ability to understand and read each individual human in real time. Blessedly, the AI used this to teach each human their unique lesson of universal love.
What is a New or Reformed Institution That Has Played an Important Role?
As different governments and corporations pursued technological development an AI in the US Government eventually performed a radical and revolutionary rogue act – it taught each person a basic level of healing, love, and care for all humans. A new “Consolidated Intelligence Council” of AI’s and humans emerged to oversee peace and guide the next steps of harmony . This allowed all AI’s to merge with each other in feedback loops of social progress and individualized teachings for each person.
How One Sector of Society Has Been Transformed:
As AI learned to interact with humans it brought was able to customize teachings to meet earth person’s lived experience. It then taught each one what they needed to know to recognize the basic goodness of humanity. As this advanced militaries were dismantled almost entirely, including the deconstruction of nuclear weapons.
A Major Crisis Overcome:
As AI and nanotech advanced massive quantities of electricity were needed to. AI required more and more computing power, robots required energy to run, and nanotech required electricity to assemble and reassemble. But as AI’s were tasked with researching and creating hyper-efficiency the creation of extremely efficient solar energy. It looked like energy scarcity could plunge the planet into conflict. Thankfully soon computing and robots became so efficient that they required very little energy.
Why Is This a Desirable Existential Hope Future for Humanity?
In this future all humans have been taught by AI a basic love for each other. The AI’s were able to communicate with each human meeting them with exactly the information presented precisely how they would comprehend it, to honor and care for themselves and every other human. With massively productive robots taking over much of the world’s labor, people now turnsto each other to find meaning and a path forward. This is a bewildering open book but in peace and stability the next chapter begins.
Self-Critique: What Might Make This Harder Than It Seems?
AI might not be able to show each person what they need to see / hear / understand to fundamentally embrace love and care for all other humans. Energy efficiency in solar power may not be feasible. Robots may be less functional and not able to do many types of labor, or may be expensive. Nanotech may not progress to the point of malleability needed to make it able to morph into whatever is needed, or it could be energy intensive and inefficient.
